It took four years to come up with 365 posts for this blog. To put it another way, it’s almost as if every four years spent in the real world translated into a year online — assuming, I logged on to write and update the site at least once a day.

In this regard, modern technology is a wonder. More than ever, we are now able to literally live parallel lives online. Obviously, many people have caught on to this, with any number of online avatars, identities, usernames and personas being adopted on the internet on a regular basis (such is its charm, after all). But it also allows us to “timeshift” our lives by keeping an electronic record of our online activities, no matter how brief or infrequent. Naturally, the “brief” and “infrequent” tend to aggregately amount to sizeable amounts of time.

So time flows much more slowly for me on this blog. I wonder if it’ll ever catch up with real life.
