Economix October 31, 2008

How’s this for awesome: it so happens that the New York Times has an economics blog! Dubbed Economix, it’s barely two months old, and from what I’ve seen so far it looks like it’s living up to the standards for which the venerable broadsheet is known.

Granted, on the internet there are as many blogs about as many topics as there are pundits — sometimes even more — and economics probably doesn’t rate the way most people would define “awesome.” Nonetheless, I think it’s fantastic that an institution like the Times has an outlet to offer views that “explain the science of everyday life” in a practical, incisive, and reader-friendly format.
