Between the Lines
Some things you may not notice about Brain Drain:
- Brain Drain got its name from a suggestion by supergirlhero13. I think it’s part of a running gag, since I used to get good grades in school, not to mention the fact that when my name is misspelled as “Brain” it isn’t red-flagged by a spellchecker.
- The blog publishes every two to three days, usually at 12:00am EST. If it takes longer than that, I’m probably just busy. Most of the time, I frontload my posts, write them well in advance, and have the blog auto-publish.
- The litmus test for content on this blog is “Private Thoughts for Public Consumption.” The blog does not exist for me to toot my own horn or rant about things I dislike. It’s a venue for me to write intelligently about things that I feel like writing about. Well, most of the time, anyway.
- You will not find my picture on this blog. At least, not unless you look hard enough.
- This blog is the mirror for the Blogger version, where there are ads. However, links here will send you back on over there (because it became tedious to keep this site self-contained).
- A numbered post indicates that it is the nth post on the blog; this is something I do rather than leave a post untitled.
- Comments are welcome, though moderated on this blog, and I respond to most comments that end up published.
- The blogroll usually lists blogs of people I know that have been updated in the past six months.
- On my birthday, I make it a point to blog about something personal.
- I try to metablog (blog about blogging) on Brain Drain’s Blogoversary (14 March 2006).
- This blog features ads from Google Adsense and Nuffnang. It also features product links through the Amazon Associates program.
- If you want to advertise on this blog, drop me a line. I could always use the extra income.
